Vicenç Casas is an electronic engineer who has been designing educational-therapeutic interventions assisted with dogs. Now he is currently a teacher of robotics in primary and secondary school in the Mare de Deu dels Angels (Missionary Daughters of the Holy Family of Nazareth). He also performs, advises and collaborates on various projects related to the use of social robots assisted therapies and activities focused mainly children with impaired and motor cognitive development. He participated in the project called PATRICIA (Pain and Anxiety Treatment based on social Robot Interaction with Children to Improve pAtient experience) in Sant Joan de Deu Hospital in Barcelona.

Psychiatrist specialized in Autism and Other Neurodevelopmental Disorders in Children and Adolescents; and also in Psycho-Onchology. Has clinical experience in the treatment of patients with chronic medical illness and with all kind of disabilities. Since august 2015, is the General Director of Ann Sullivan Panamá Center, which is the first center in Panama (at the public level) offering free care by applying the “Natural Functional Curriculum” to children and youth with Autism Spectrum and other disorders with cognitive impairment. This educational model, focuses on the skills and strenghts of individuals and not their limitations.
